Houston IT Jobs Among Most Promising This Year
Those looking for Houston IT jobs (Click here) - or tech positions throughout the nation - should be encouraged by a new report.
Robert Half International recently released its list of 11 promising jobs for 2011, and not surprisingly, five of those jobs are in the information technology industry. What's even more promising is that all of the IT jobs on the list are expected to pay higher average salaries.
The list includes occupations in a variety of industries, including accounting and finance, technology, creative, legal, and administrative services. These positions will be found all over the country, from Denver tech jobs to the customer service jobs Phoenix has to offer (Check out http://jobs.insight.com for more).
"The common thread among the jobs highlighted in our research is that they help businesses improve efficiency and profits, and foster a more positive customer experience," Max Messmer, chairman and CEO of Robert Half International, said in a statement. "The most successful job candidates bring multiple skill sets, a track record of success and a strong sense of accountability to their roles."
The 11 promising jobs for 2011, as well as their starting salaries, include:
- Senior business systems analyst - $66,500 to $85,500
- Financial analyst - $72,750 to $109,750
- Staff accountant - $42,000 to $55,500
- Enterprise resource planning technical developer - $79,250 to $109,500
- Business intelligence analyst - $82,500 to $116,250
- Data modeler - $80,750 to $111,250
- Mobile applications designer/developer - $73,250 to $102,500
- User experience designer - $67,500 to $98,000
- Lawyer - $106,250 to $163,250
- Paralegal - $48,250 to $62,500
- Senior administrative assistant - $32,500 to $41,750
