ATS Helps School Hire
One Canadian school is implementing an ATS to help with its hiring needs.
Ontario-based Lambton Kent District School Board recently announced that it will implement the HireDesk applicant tracking system in order to find new employees. The district currently serves more than 24,000 students in 66 elementary and secondary schools.
The ATS will allow the school board to ensure reliable hiring with trained interviews and consistent processes in place; to save labor costs with reduced administrative workload and increased productivity; to prevent applicant drop off with an improved candidate experience; and to save environmental costs as print, paper and energy waste have been eliminated.
"The Talent Qualification Interview Questionnaires in HireDesk are great," LKDSB Recruitment Officer Stacey Elson said. "They save a great deal of time and effort."
LKDSB provides educational services to Lambton and Kent County, which are made up of numerous small towns and communities throughout Southwestern Ontario, surrounded by the Great Lakes.
"With a sound understanding of the educational industry and its hiring processes, the Talent Technology Implementation and Services Team worked closely with Stacey Elson and her team to ensure the hiring workflows streamlined a cumbersome, paper-filled process," Praj Patel, executive vice president of Talent Technology Corporation, said.
"It was imperative not only to streamline and improve their hiring workflows, but at the same time, to ensure the candidate experience was second to none," Patel continued. "The sheer number of job openings every hiring session and the number of people involved in the process made this mandatory."
